2posh2pitch – Glamping

_DSC5164Recently my mini side kick, James, and I went Glamping.  This is something neither of us have ever done but being an outdoor family, its something that I thought we would enjoy.

The site we stayed at was Whitehall Farm in Burnham Thorpe and is ran by Kate at 2posh2pitch.

On arrival it looked amazing from the outside but inside was just fantastic.  Both the doors are secured with a padlock and you are given to code to be able to enter them. You keep the padlocks for the duration of your stay and can lock up as and when you leave the site.

The little touches such as the flowers and torches on the bedside table, the ‘Happy Camper’ mugs and inside chairs plus the table and chairs, bunting and welcome mat outside really make all the difference.

Our tent was a 6 metre luxury bell tent. We were provided with pillows, duvet, air bed for James and a lovely comfortable king size bed for me.   Washing up liquid and bowl, bin, mugs, cutlery, storage, ear plugs, picnic blanket, lights and BBQ (bring your own charcoal) were also included.

The site itself is non-electric, but there is a (very clean) toilet block, shower area and kitchen area.  The kitchen area has fridges, freezers, microwave and kettle along with a charging point for phones/ipads etc.

The site is 1 1/4 miles from a petrol station, garage shop with the basics, Chinese food and fish and chip shop.  It is very easy to find and you could walk there in around 15/20 minutes.  Creake Abbey is only about 2 miles away and is a lovely place to visit.  Other places not too far away include Hunstanton, Thornham, Brancaster and Snettisham.

At the site we enjoyed watching owners on their horses and we saw some Red Kites.

Every morning from 8:30 – 10:00am ‘The Whitehall Box’ is open.  I sampled a bacon sandwich and a coffee.  James has already had his breakfast at the tent so he was more interested in playing with Elsa the dog.

2posh2pitch is a dog friendly site so you dont have to worry about leaving your pooch at home or in kennels as they can join in with the family fun.  Dog bins are provided and North Norfolk has lots of beautiful countryside to walk around along with many dog friendly pubs/cafes.

We really enjoyed our stay with 2posh2pitch and would recommend it as a great family holiday getaway destination but also it would make a fab break away with friends or simply on your own.  Check out their full website here. If you do book with them, I hope your stay will be just as good as ours was.

Disclaimer:  We were gifted our night away in exchanged for some photos of the site.  I was not asked to give a review, however, we had such a lovely time, I wanted to share our experience.
